Document Description
The proposed Caltrans Minor A project consists of roadway protective betterments at the median of State Route 73 (SR-73) within the Crown Valley Parkway Undercrossing landscape area in the city of Laguna Niguel, County of Orange. Work includes V-ditch repair by removing, realigning and replacing damaged section of concrete ditch and following removal, condition and prepare subgrade soil per Section 19 Standard specifications, slope repair by re-grading eroded slopes and filling excavated out fills and back cuts for temporary slopes, toe erosion by filling and compacting eroded toe of the slope adjacent to the sidewalk, and fixing concrete cracking by sealing to prevent further water intrusion into the slope. The purpose of the project is to provide safety to the public and state maintenance workers. The need comes from damaged existing drainage and sidewalk facilities in need of repair. Disturbed soil area is anticipated to be less than 1.0 acre. No utility relocations are required. The project has state and federal funding. All work will occur in State right of way. No new right of way will occur.
