Document Description
On February 21, 2023, a powerful windstorm downed approximately 78 Imperial Irrigation District (IID) power poles and caused a multiday power outage to three communities. IID has declared a Local Emergency (IID Resolution No. 8-2023). IID requested a temporary staging area to facilitate emergency power pole repairs and replacement within Ocotillo Wells SVRA. The staging area is approximately 1.5 acres and is located in a previously disturbed area. IID crews will access the area from Poleline Road. At the end of work, the staging area will be restored to its original condition. A Right of Entry permit will be issued to IID to authorize the temporary staging area.
