Document Description
The Project is limited to installing a new approximately 36-foot-long Cast-in-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) retaining wall and planted rock riprap buttress on the bank of Nicasio Creek. The CIDH retaining wall includes four 24-inch-diameter CIDH concrete piles approximately 20 feet deep and a cable railing along the roadway. The CIDH retaining wall will be immediately adjacent to an existing retaining wall and rock riprap authorized by Agreement 1600-2017-0388-R3. The walls will be joined using 0.5-inch pre-molded expansion joint filler. Approximately 250 square feet and 36 linear feet of 0.5-ton rock riprap planted with willow (Salix sp.) stakes will be installed at the toe of bank below the CIDH retaining wall. The Project will temporarily dewater Nicasio Creek. No trees will be removed. Approximately 1,320 square feet and 60 linear feet of Nicasio Creek will be temporarily impacted by the Project and approximately 286 square feet and 36 linear feet will be permanently impacted by the Project.
