Document Description
The Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (District) owns and maintains the Besco Pump Station. The Besco Pump Station requires maintenance, repair and replacement of discharge pipes and head wall. The East wingwall and portions of the main headwall of the outfall structure, patching of Spalled portions of the main headwall, removal of the existing 9” diameter discharge pipe and replacing it with a new 12” diameter discharge pipe, trenchless lining of 36” diameter discharge pipelines, removal and replacement of 36” and 12” flap gates and rehabilitation or replacement of the station’s cathodic protection system. Work on the outfall structure and flap gates will require gravel bag cofferdam. Most of the cofferdam will be on an existing concrete apron but portions may need to be on a rock slope protection area of the flood control channel. Work will be phased to take place in summer months.
