Document Description
DWR staff will clear and repair mudslides along the CAAQ south of W Grant Line Road. The work area is approximately 1600 linear feet and approximately 10 feet wide along the intake access road. Staff will use a skid steer and excavator to clear v-ditch parallel to roadway and load dump trucks of displaced mudslide soil. The trucks will haul the spoils to existing stockpile location near the DWR CHP shooting range. A clogged culvert underneath the displaced mud will be cleaned out. A water truck will be used to wash the roadway afterwards to clear away displaced soil. All work is within DWR right of way.

Reasons for Exemption
The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities to prevent further erosion damage to SWP facilities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any environmental impacts.
