Document Description
Pacific Power is proposing to perform maintenance activities along an existing 2.4 kilovolt distribution line in the Interstate 5 (I-5) right-of-way (ROW) in Shasta County: post mile 65.513 and 65.526. Maintenance activities include: conductor replacement, replacement of two poles, new supporting guy wires/anchors, and installation of appurtenant infrastructure. Once the new line is energized, the old line would be deenergized and the old conductors/wires removed. The purpose of the project is to maintain public safety and provide reliable electric services to area customers. To facilitate maintenance activities, traffic control would be performed during the proposed work. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
