Applicant proposes the installation of approximately 11,791 feet of fiber optic cable by means of underground and aerial placement onto six (6) existing poles. This project takes place in Modoc County right of way, outside of the City of Alturas, on two different alignments, one on W. 4th St, the other on Spicer Ln. The alignment on W. 4th begins at the southwest corner of W. 4th St. and Mill St. and proceeds west approximately 6.174 feet. The alignment on Spicer Ln starts approximately 4,144 feet north of the intersection of Spicer Ln. and 12th St. on private lands. The project proceeds north along Spicer Ln. for approximately 5, 606 feet to the terminus at a proposed handhole. This proposed service connection would upgrade the customer’s existing copper service fiber.
