Document Description
The Project includes replacing three existing culverts at various ephemeral channels on SR-4. The existing metal culverts will be replaced with upsized Reinforced Concrete Pipe culverts. Additionally, the existing concrete headwalls at the inlets may be replaced and flared-end sections and rock slope protections added at the outlets. The Project is limited to vegetation cutting, excavation of the slope, placement of fill on the slope and channels, and concrete pouring.

The Project falls under Class 4(f) Categorical Exemption because it consists of minor trenching and backfilling where the surface is to be restored. The Project will involve the alteration of non-native vegetation, but will not remove healthy, mature, or scenic trees.
