Document Description
The Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is designed to decrease the carbon intensity (CI) of California’s transportation fuel pool and provide an increasing range of low-carbon and renewable alternatives. The Proposed Amendments would increase both the pre- and post-2030 stringency of the LCFS CI benchmarks. The Proposed Amendments would require a 30% reduction in fuel CI by 2030 and a 90% reduction in fuel CI by 2045 from a 2010 baseline.
