Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to immediately replace a storm damaged culvert on State Route 4 (SR-4) in Calaveras County at postmile 32.4. A high intensity rainstorm passed through Calaveras County and resulted an excessive runoff and damaged an existing culvert beyond repair. The scope of work includes removal of the existing culvert and restore all assets to their original condition. All proposed work will be on Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to repair damage to the highway system resulting from heavy rainfall. The project is needed to protect the lives and property of the traveling way on SR-4.
