The County of Fresno's Department of Public Works and Planning proposes to make roadway improvements within Community Service Area 35AK. The project is located in Shaver Lake, northeastern Fresno County. See Attachment A for a location map. The project limit begins at the intersection of Woody Lane and SR-168 and concludes at the end of the maintained road. The scope of work includes cleaning the roadway, overlaying 0.170 miles of private road, placing paving fabric before paving 2.5 inches of Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA), grinding and replacing HMA dikes, as well as repairing overside drains adjacent to the private roadway. The proposed roadway is showing signs of distress and road rehabilitation is necessary to extend the lifespan of the various pavements. See Attachment B for photos of the existing roadway. No right-of-way acquisition or utility relocation is anticipated. No tree or vegetation removal is anticipated. Please see Attachment C for a NEPAssist Report.
