Document Description
As a responsible agency, Caltrans has issued an Encroachment Permit (0123-N-TK-0039) to Mendocino County at post mile 53.77 (RT) on Route 101 in Mendocino County to assist in evacuating residents from a property that had its ingress/egress damaged during a storm event (that occurred on December 30, 2022).The County and its contractor removed the remnants of a private driveway and failed culvert facility and temporarily placed a bridge and performed 24-hour traffic control.
The County and its contractor performed emergency notifications and consultations with CDFW, NCWQCB and USACE. The resource agencies worked iteratively with Mendocino County to ensure that regulated resources were considered and where appropriate, protected. Encroachment Permit (0123-N-TK-0039) was issued to provide access to Mendocino County to perform their work.
