Document Description
The project is limited to the improvement and expansion of Turtle Bay Boat Ramp and the surrounding park area, including the widening of the boat ramp, the extension of the floating dock, the construction of a new boating access beach with an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramp for drift boats and non-motorized vessel launching, the installation of an ADA-compliant restroom, the extension of the Sacramento River Trail and bike path, and the improvements to stormwater drainage and landscaping. The project, as it pertains to Fish and Game Code section 1602, includes the following activities that either require work within the wetted channel or removal of riparian vegetation: widening of the existing boat ramp, resurfacing of the boat ramp, extension of the existing floating dock, construction of a drift boat and non-motorized boating launch beach, in-water work, and the installation of a temporary fish exclusion and turbidity barrier (gravel berm) which could include the construction of a temporary gravel working pad, and the removal of nine native trees.
