Document Description
The project will include pavement rehabilitation and widening of the
eastbound lanes to accommodate for a new 12-foot truck climbing lane and standard 10-foot shoulder lane, upgrading guard rails, and extension of the eastbound truck climbing lane between post mile (PM) R26.5 to 29.2. Extension of the truck climbing lane will require drainage improvements, including the replacement of two (2) culverts and extension of five (5) culverts. The drainage work is listed below. A 12-foot box culvert wildlife undercrossing will also be installed, along with wildlife exclusion fencing and 16 wildlife jump-outs. The project is part of a larger pavement rehabilitation and truck climbing lane extension project on I-80 from PM 26.5 to 55.1 involving replacing the roadway.
