The proposed project is a City initiated, Urban Greening Grant funded project that involves the construction of a public park on a 1.87-acre vacant portion of a 4.2-acre property that is partially developed and occupied by an existing church. The proposed improvements include a ¼-mile walking trail (concrete or permeable surface), solar walkway lighting, landscaping (trees, shrubs and water efficient landscape irrigation), park amenities (benches, drinking fountains, and trash receptacles), covered age-appropriate workout stations, a rose garden, wrought iron fencing separating the park from the church and a shared parking lot.
