Document Description
Extend the service life and improve the ride quality of SR 58 near the town of Santa Margarita. The project proposes to overlay the roadway within the project limits with Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt. Shoulder backing will be placed along pavement edges. The existing roadway has 11-foot-wide travel lanes with 1-to-2-foot shoulders. The project proposes to widen the roadway with12-foot lanes near the north side of I Street to West Pozo Road. Six-foot shoulders, sidewalks, and curbramps are proposed from I Street to West Pozo Road. Existing asphalt concrete dikes will be upgradedto meet existing standards. Additionally, 10 drainages and 36 roadside sign panels will be replaced, onecount station will be installed, and the existing metal beam guardrail will be replaced with the currentstandard on SR 58, in San Luis Obispo County.
