Document Description
This project will acquire 165.33 acres in unincorporated open space near the City of Hemet, Riverside County and within the Sao Jacinto Valley Area Plan of the Western Riverside County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan. The project will protect in perpetuity, a foothill area of the San Jacinto Mountains, to prevent development and preserve Riverside sage scrub, coastal sage scrub, wetland, riparian woodland habitats, coast live oak woodland, and rocky outcroppings occupied by sensitive status species including coastal California gnatcatcher, San Diego horned lizard, southern California rufous-crowned sparrow, loggerhead shrike, Cooper's hawk, granite spiny lizard, turkey vulture, coyote, bobcat, and brush rabbit.
