Document Description
California Governor Newsom Executive Order N-1-23 proclaimed a State of Emergency exists in the Planada Elementary School District where result of the Atmospheric River event caused flooding and undue hardship on students, parents, and school administrators. The project proposes to install classroom, office, and restroom portables at the Cesar Chavez Middle School track area. Approximately 28 modular units will be installed on school property to support an estimated 600-student population, administration positions, restroom facilities, library, and multipurpose room functions. Work includes grading, compaction, laying of a gravel base to meet load requirements of the modular units, and trenching for electrical conduits and plumbing connected to existing utilities at the school site. Also, work includes constructing access paths from the existing school buildings and to a drop-off and pick up location. Some fence modifications may occur where required to access the path. All work will take place on site and restored at the end of use.
