Document Description
The scope of activities consists of remediating Fish and Game Code section 1602, 5650, and 5652 violations for streambed modification and placement of deleterious materials that have or may enter Newtown Creek (Project). The scope of the Project includes the following activities: 1) bare, erodible soils associated with changes to Newtown Creek will be stabilized, 2) excess soil within Newtown Creek will be removed, 3) Newtown Creek will be re-contoured as necessary to prevent erosion, 4) streamside woody vegetation will be planted or allowed to reestablish in previously bare areas, 5) an existing bridge structure will be maintained to prevent obstruction of stream flow, and 6) all garbage, motor vehicles or parts thereof, rubbish, litter, refuse, waste, or debris will be removed from within 150 feet of the stream.
