Document Description
The Project will install three engineered solutions along access roads associated with transmission line (TL) 6923 resulting in permanent impacts to two unnamed stream channels, one ephemeral and one intermittent, both are tributary to Potrero Creek, and one unnamed ephemeral stream channel, tributary to Hauser Creek within the Tijuana River Watershed. The engineered solutions include the installation of cement treated road base, stabilized rock crossings, and riprap for velocity dissipation. The purpose of the Project is to remedy chronic erosion and/or sediment transport from existing dirt access roads within the Cleveland National Forest lands and is intended to improve downstream water quality within the watershed. Mitigation bank credits have been purchased to compensate for permanent impacts to and ensure no net loss of aquatic resources.
