Document Description
Tahoe RCD will manage and support the deployment of Land Tender subscriptions for increasing the pace and scale of project development and prioritization in the Lake Tahoe Basin (Basin). Land Tender is a decision support tool for selecting forestry projects based on user priorities. The Tahoe RCD will be responsible for ensuring that this new tool is used for selecting projects for fuels treatment that are most effective in reducing fire severity and risk for communities. Project prioritization is a critical component for increasing the pace and scale of forest treatments that need to be completed as part of the Community Wildfire and Protection Plan (CWPP) update, a multi-jurisdictional fuels reduction strategy based upon priorities set in the CWPP of 2015 that is in the process of being updated.
