Document Description
Caltrans proposes to make intersection, roadway, pedestrian, and bicycle improvements along State Route 49 and State Route 4 in the City of Angels Camp in Calaveras County. Caltrans proposes to modify the intersection at State Route 49 and State Route 4 with a hybrid roundabout and a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of State Route 49 and Francis Street. Additional elements include a median island between State Route 4 and Francis Street along State Route 49, with a left-turn pocket for the Frog Jump Plaza shopping center and a median island opening for the Altaville Fire Department. Complete Streets elements include sidewalks and bike lanes or shared-use paths along State Route 49 between Monte Verda Street and Baker Street. Mailboxes, signs, and commercial and residential driveways will be relocated or modified throughout the project limits. Additional right-of-way, temporary construction easements, and utility relocations will be required for this project.
