The project proposes to rehabilitate pavement, upgrade concrete barriers, rehabilitate drainage systems, upgrade facilities to ADA standards, and replace the Whipple Avenue Pedestrian Overcrossing. The purpose of this project is to preserve, repair, and extend the life of the existing pavement and improve ride quality. The project’s need is based on the Pavement Condition Survey which indicates that there is minor to moderate pavement distress. If the existing condition is left uncorrected, the roadway will deteriorate and require major rehabilitation.
