The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has prepared this Initial Study with Negative Declaration (IS/ND) for the State Route (SR) 1 Centerline Rumble Strip Project (Project). Caltrans proposes to widen the existing shoulder to 6 feet at 50 spot locations and install four segments of centerline rumble strips between post miles (PMs) 0.00 and 58.58 on SR 1 in Sonoma County.
