Document Description
The Project is limited to upgrading a dam spillway to meet current safety standards. The Project will reconstruct the existing spillway with a concrete lining, install a siphon outlet that will discharge into the spillway channel, install an embankment seepage underdrain system to collect and allow seepage to drain, and relocate the irrigation pump station from the top of the dam embankment to a new location adjacent to the reservoir. A stabilization berm will also be installed at the toe of the embankment. A baffled energy dissipation discharge basin and riprap will be installed for the release of spillway discharge overland into an unnamed tributary which is an ephemeral stream. The Project will result in temporary impacts within the footprint of the existing spillway and will remove one tree from the existing spillway. No riparian trees will be removed by the Project and the Project will not result in permanent impacts to stream or riparian habitat.
