Document Description
The proposed Use Permit #21-01 will include a Reclamation Plan that will ensure the end use of the mine complies with SMARA and the Tehama County General Plan. The use of the site as a mine is anticipated to operate for 25 years on 103.75 acres of Thomes Creek with an annual anticipated production of 44,000 cubic yards and a total anticipated production of 1,100,000 cubic yards. The request to establish the mine as a bar skimming operation in which scrapers remove sand and gravel from the gravel bars and channel area and transport it via private haul road to the adjacent gravel processing Plant. The proposed project is located in an AG-2; Agricultural/Valley District in a Valley Floor Agricultural General Plan designation that allows the facility with a use permit.
