Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) has determined that the project is a Statutory Exemption based on the previously certified Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) that analyzed the environmental impacts of the Cannabis Land Use Ordinance and Licensing Program. Pursuant to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Guidelines of the DCC, DCC has determined that the project is exempt from further environmental review pursuant to Section 15183 whereby projects which are consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site.
