Document Description
DWR Staff will repair multiple mudslides behind Banks Pumping Plant and along the Primary and Secondary Intake Access Roads. The work area is approximately 0.29-miles long and approximately 10-20 feet wide along the intake access roads. Staff will use skid steer and backhoe to remove displaced soil from impacted roadways. Slide material will be hauled by dump truck to an existing soil stockpile location on DWR property. A water truck will be used to wash the roadway after soil removal to expose roadway and safety markings as necessary. All work is within DWR Right of Way.

Reasons for Exemption
The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities to prevent further erosion damage to SWP facilities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any environmental impacts.
