The completed Project will restore 23 acres of riparian and upland habitats along the lower Stanislaus River. In addition, the Project will substantially improve off-channel habitat for rearing salmonids. This will be achieved through floodplain inundation under a broad range of flow conditions.

The Project is located along the Stanislaus River, 68 kilometers (km) upstream of the San Joaquin River confluence and 24 km downstream of Goodwin Dam, between 37°47'24.22"N, 120°49'11.45"W (downstream limit) and 37°47'15.11"N, 120°48'33.39"W (upstream limit).
