Document Description
Site Approval application to construct a 32-acre, 400-megawatt battery energy storage system (BESS) facility and 8 acres of related improvements within the southwest corner of a 106-acre property. The Project includes installation of 500 free-standing batteries and development of a collector substation, inverters, collector lines, fencing, access roads, and supervisory control and data acquisition system located onsite. The Project proposes to interconnect at the Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) Tesla Substation 1,500 feet west of the project site in Alameda County via a 230-kilovolt interconnection generation tie (gen-tie) line and includes a Williamson Act Contract Cancellation to cancel a 40-acre portion of Williamson Act Contract No. 77-C1-255 to accommodate the BESS facility and all related improvements.
