Document Description
This project will include the installation of 5.4 miles of broadband infrastructure in Santa Clara County along Route 280 in San Jose. Construction will begin at the Route 280/101 separation line and end at the Route 17/280 separation line. This project is one section of the statewide commitment to supporting BMMN by delivering 10,000 miles of broadband infrastructure within the State Highway System (SHS). Broadband conduit and fiber, along with the associated underground vaults, will be installed approximately every 2,500 feet. All work will take place within 30 feet of Caltrans right-of-way (ROW). Project impact will be limited to Caltrans ROW along with existing paved surfaces and disturbed shoulders.
