Document Description
This NOD filing is pursuant to issuance of Streambed Alteration Agreement "2022 - EPIMS-TEH-29510-R1I_Kopta Slough Multi-Benefit Project" The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-THE-29510-R1I), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, Department of Water Resources, 2440 Main St., Red Bluff, CA 96080. The purpose of the proposed project is to restore Sacramento River floodplain habitat and hydrologic and geomorphic connection function in the vicinity of Kopta Slough between river mile (RM) 219 and 222. The objectives are: · Restore, enhance, and conserve floodplain habitat; · Restore hydrologic and geomorphic function; · Improve fish and wildlife habitat; · Reduce flood management system operation and maintenance costs and responsibilities; and · Facilitate the enhancement of recreation opportunities.
