Document Description
The proposed project consists of constructing 4-foot wide paved shoulder with shoulder backing on Adams Avenue from Cherry Avenue to Clovis Avenue (approximately 4.5 miles),in Fresno County. Grape vines within the County's right of way will be removed. The proposed project would improve air quality by decreasing the amount of airborne particulate matter caused by vehicles traveling along the roadway. Adams Avenue within the project limits is a 2-lane rural road with a 24-foot wide pavement width maintained dirt shoulder on either side within 60-feet of County right of way. Adams Avenue would remain open during construction activities with one-way traffic control during construction operations. Both lanes will be open to the travelling public when construction operations are not actively in progress.

The project will not involve the removal of a stand of trees, a rock outcropping or historical resources. The project is paving and grading the flat shoulder area along Adams Ave. It can be determined with certainty that the project will not result in a significant impact on the environment.
