Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-28315-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Melissa Schnetgoecke, representing Westport Beach RV Park and Campground.
The project is limited to one (1) encroachment. The encroachment is for modification of a permanent bridge across Wages Creek. Work for this encroachment will include separating the existing bridge deck from the abutments, modifying the abutments to elevate the deck as designed by Chapman Engineering, and installation of the new
bridge deck and support beams. Fill material retained by pre-cast blocks will be added to the bridge approaches to accommodate the increased bridge deck elevation.
No work shall occur in the wetted portion of the channel. Construction activity shall be restricted to the banks of Wages Creek and shall not include driving through or working within the wetted portion of the stream. Tarps shall be extended beyond the existing bridge to entirely capture falling debris from the bridge, and all debris shall be
manually removed from Wages Creek streambed. Appropriate erosion control measures shall be applied during and after project activities to prevent sediment delivery into Wages Creek. No concrete will be poured on site.
