Document Description
The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide funding to increase Yuba County Resource Conservation District (YCRCD) staffing levels; develop partnerships; undertake county-wide planning for forest health, wildfire resilience, and climate resilience projects; and recruit partners to fund such project implementation. Specific activities include the YCRCD hiring an executive director, assessing and improving YCRCD systems and policies, expanding the YCRCD Board of Directors, conducting outreach to regional partners, creating a prioritized inventory of potential forest health projects, and developing funding opportunities to support potential future forest health project implementation.

There are no ground disturbing actions which would impact environmental factors. These planning actions do not have a legally binding effect on later activities. The project is a regional project prioritization and planning exercise leading to a potential future action which has not yet been approved, adopted, or funded.
