525 acres of fields and furrows of farmland on Staten Island irrigated with irrigation return flows to waterways potentially discharging pesticides. Project to install a recirculation pump and reuse irrigation runoff to reduce potential pesticide discharges. No vegetation will be removed and locations where the farmland is disturbed will be covered and revegetated. Class 4, Minor Alterations to Land (CEQA Guidelines § 15304) consists of minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes.
