The Pilot Project is a proposed freeway management solution to address recurrent congestion along the northbound side of the Interstate 15 (I-15) freeway in the cities of Murrieta and Temecula, and unincorporated areas of Riverside County. The proposed Pilot Project is a two-year pilot program that would install, operate, and maintain precise Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) within existing operational right-of-way to control freeway operations and optimize traffic flows.
