Proposed project includes the development of the park with both active and passive recreational opportunities and enhanced amenities including: playground and equipment; picnic shelter with tables, benches and barbeque grills; landscaping and irrigation, parcourse fitness trail/track with exercise equipment around the perimeter of the park; adult and/or child half- or multi-use courts; miniature/children's soccer or multi-use fields; pickle ball courts. The project also includes the request for grant funding support for the proposed project and associated federal and state assistance.

Reasons for Exemption
Construction of the proposed park and off-site public utility improvements will occur concurrent with development of the adjacent new 134-lot single family residential subdivision and were conditioned with the tentative map approval. None of the exceptions to Categorical Exemptions set forth in CEQA Guidelines, Section 15300.2 apply to the project. Project is not located on a hazardous waste site, no historical resources are present, and the project site is not located in proximity or adjacent to a scenic highway. Project is not located within a particularly sensitive environment.
