The District proposes to construct an 8,228-square-foot Multi-purpose Room (MPR) building, with an additional 3,500-square-foot flex lab and music room. The existing lunch shelter at the location of the MPR will be reconfigured. The District also plans to reconfigure the existing 7,025-square-foot library and two Learning Center rooms. New play apparatus and surfaces are proposed as well. The project will enhance educational opportunities at the school and will not change student capacity. The proposed project will benefit the district, students, and staff by improving the educational environment.

The proposed replacement of the lunch shelter would have substantially the same purpose and is in the same location as the lunch shelter replaced within the project site. The proposed reconfiguration of the library, learning center rooms and science lab are exempt under a Class 2, Replacement and Reconstruction, as interior modifications of existing buildings.
