Document Description
Caltrans proposes a maintenance project to extend the service life of the pavement of Interstate 8 (I-8) ramps by placing micro-surface over the existing pavement (ramp lanes and left and right shoulders) from the westbound to eastbound direction. The project is located along I-8 from postmile R50.33 (southeast of Holtville, CA) to R96.73 (near Winterhaven, CA). All construction will be within the existing pavement, and in the State right-of-way. Other activities include shoulder backing at spot locations, placing rumble strip, and restriping.
