Class 1 allows for the rehabilitation of deteriorated or damaged facilities to meet current standards of public health and safety, and for the repair and maintenance of existing public structures, facilities, mechanical equipment where it involves no or negligible expansion of use. Patton SH is a historic era facility which has been evaluated and determined not eligible for listing as a historic resource, and the determination concurred with by the State Historic Preservation Office. The State has confirmed no exceptions to the exemption apply.
