Document Description
The project proposes removal of an existing berm along the outside edge of Hetzler Road to create an outslope of 2%-5% where feasible along approximately 1000 feet of roadway from the upper parking lot. This outsloping will allow for more natural sheet drainage into heavily vegetated slope below the road and will prevent erosion. Additionally, a small depression will be created to act as a bioswale and capture stormwater runoff. Once berm removal and final grading are complete, bare soils will be replanted with native vegetation and /or capped and armored with all-natural road base.
