Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes emergency erosion repairs on State Route (SR) 26, at post mile 33.9, in Calaveras County. Floodwater from a previous storm eroded approximately 200 feet of the roadside ditch, shoulder, and pavement. The scope of work includes removing a portion of the failing structural section, placing Class 2 Aggregate Base, placing Type-A Hot Mix Asphalt, re-striping, re-grading the roadside ditch, and installing erosion control measures. All work will occur within Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project to is to immediately repair the failing roadway, shoulder, and ditch. This project is needed to prevent complete roadway loss and to ensure the safety of the traveling public on SR-26.
