Reasons for Exemption
Upgrades to the left bank will replace the existing timber lagging retaining wall in-kind with a 45-foot additional retention wall extension to meet current road construction, human health, and safety standards. To mitigate the Project’s 90 linear feet of permanent impacts; willows will be staked into the rock slope protection at both ends of the retaining wall, and native shrubs and trees will be planted within 0.03 acres of the Project area’s riparian and stream habitat.
