Document Description
On September 27, 2024, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number EPIMS-SIS-45925-R1 pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602 for the Project to the Trust for Public Land (TPL), which will be carried out by James Fitzgerald. The Project involves the restoration and decommissioning of 23 stream crossings on 5 unpaved roads. The TPL has purchased former industrial timberland and will be implementing the project to address impacts from legacy logging activities in the area. The decommissioning of roads will consist of excavation of stream crossings, stabilization of unstable slopes and fill, and road surface treatments to disperse surface runoff. Restoration of meadow and spring complex function will consist of removal of fill, ripping of road segments to restore hydrologic connectivity and restoring original geomorphology of the site.
