Document Description
The program of routine maintenance includes, but is not limited to, all mowing, burning, vegetation pruning, fallen or hazardous tree removal, road grading, minor earthwork repairs and the placement of rock revetment on Reclamation District 1500's flood control levees, as well as any other similar activities that are needed to meet standards established by applicable law. Unit I The Sacramento River levee and unit 2 the Sutter Bypass levees are part of the federal Sacramento River Flood Control Project and have been turned over to Reclamation District 1500 for operation and maintenance. These levees protect residents, property, infrastructure, Crop Storage facilities. And habitat in the Sutter Basin area. In addition, the District undertakes the operation and maintenance of Canals, Drains and pumping plants in the Sutter Basin area.

A project involving only feasibility or planning studies for possible future actions which the agency, board, or commission has not approved, adopted, or funded does not require the preparation of an EIR or negative declaration but does require consideration of environmental factors. This section does not apply to the adoption of a plan that will have a legally binding effect on later activities.
