Document Description
The City of San José (City) proposes a general plan amendment and rezonings to facilitate development of the City’s 2023-2031 Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) of 62,200 units (project). The project would also include reallocation of 3,095 planned dwelling units from the North San José growth area to other growth areas identified in the Envision San José 2040 General Plan (2040 General Plan). The project is intended to facilitate the development of housing units already planned for as part of the 2040 General Plan; the project would not increase residential development capacity in the City beyond what was envisioned in the 2040 General Plan.
