Document Description
Easley Renewable Energy Project, consisting of Conditional Use Permit No. 220021 (CUP220021), Public Use Permit No. 230002 (PUP230002), Development Agreement No. 2200016 (DA2200016), and Agricultural Preserve Diminishment (APD) Case Nos 230001, 230002, and 230003. Together, these approvals authorize the construction, operation, and maintenance of an up to 390 megawatt (MW) solar power plant with an up to a 650 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) on 990 acres of private land under the County’s jurisdiction (the remaining 2,695 acres of the project site would be located on public land under the Bureau of Land Management [BLM] federal's jurisdiction). The approvals also authorize gen-tie crossings of roadways under County jurisdiction, a development agreement consistent with Board of Supervisors Policy No. B-29, and diminishment of the agricultural preserves and cancellation of the Williamson Act contracts on affected parcels within the project site.
