Document Description
The proposed project will repair a section of Reeds Creek Road where it has been undercut and eroded by Liza Creek by approximately 20 vertical feet below the roadway. The roadway embankment is actively eroding and one-way traffic with safety k-railing is in place. The project also involves regrading and installing approximately 0.79 acre of rock slope protection, 0.55 acre of which will be placed below the ordinary high water mark, within Liza Creek to prevent future erosion. Riparian habitat on the downstream side of the project will be temporarily disturbed for site access. The project is expected to take place while the channel is dry. A temporary water diversion will be installed 24 hours prior to any forecasted rain event that may result in creek surface flows and will remain in place a minimum of 24 hours after the rain event or until the channel is dry.
