Document Description
The project is limited to restoring a portion of Wyman Ravine impacted by unauthorized activities within its bed, bank, channel and associated riparian vegetation. Restoration activities will include planting oak trees and removing an earthen dam constructed within Wyman Ravine. Soils, rocks, and other material associated with the earthen dam shall be removed from the stream and placed in an upland area where it cannot re-enter Wyman Ravine. Material will be removed until the pre-project gradient and thalweg of the stream’s low flow channel are restored. Excavation of material shall not occur within the bed of Wyman Ravine beyond the re-establishment of the natural grade. The placement of fill materials, additional grading, or removal of mature trees are not authorized by this agreement. All work will be performed during the fall of 2022 and when the creek is dry. A backhoe or similar heavy equipment will be used to remove the dam.
